What we do

Commercial Concrete Services Across Wollongong

Shop Entries, Ramps and Frontages

For shops, cafés and clinics, we pour entry slabs, ramps and frontages that finish flush with the footpath and the door threshold, so there's no lip to trip on. Falls are shaped to send heavy rain away from the entrance instead of in under the door.

Warehouse and Workshop Floors

Internal floors for workshops, cool rooms, storage sheds and light industrial units in areas like Unanderra, Kembla Grange and Albion Park Rail are a big part of what we do. Floors are finished flat enough for racking and pallet jacks, and can be left ready for epoxy, line marking or polishing to suit your fit-out.

Service Yards and Wash Bays

Equipment yards, bin enclosures and wash bays cop oil, hoses and steel tracks day in, day out. We choose a mix and surface texture that can handle that, then grade the hardstand to sumps or interceptors wherever the stormwater plan requires them.

Concrete for Builders and Developers

From a single tenancy to a row of townhouses, we pour slabs, footings, driveways and external works directly from the engineer's drawings. Pour dates are agreed with your site supervisor and our area is left clean, so the following trade can walk straight on.

Surfaces for Venues and Hospitality

Pool decks, beer gardens, paths and alfresco slabs for venues near Wollongong Harbour, North Beach and the Shell Cove marina need to handle bare feet, sunscreen and salty air every day. We select finishes and sealers that are comfortable underfoot and hold up close to the water.

Maintenance Work for Property Managers

Lifted panels, cracked kerbs and broken edges are worth fixing before someone trips or the damage gets worse. Send through a single job or a full list across multiple sites, and we'll let you know as each item is completed so your maintenance records stay up to date.

Three Easy Ways to Get Your Wollongong Commercial Concrete Job Started

Commercial work comes with drawings, deadlines and trading hours, and we like to get across all three from the outset. Whether it's a loading dock, a shop forecourt or a warehouse floor, here's how to get started with us.

  • Share your engineering plans: Send your structural drawings and specifications our way. We'll check depth, joints and reinforcement, then get back to you with a detailed price.
  • Walk the site with us: Point out access points, high-traffic zones and any areas your staff or customers can't do without.
  • Send a short written brief: Outline the scope, your preferred start date and who our on-site contact will be. We'll respond with any questions and a proposed pour sequence.

We're used to working with builders, project managers and site supervisors, and we keep everyone updated as the pour date approaches. Rain can turn up in Wollongong in any season, so we track storm forecasts closely to protect fresh concrete. Get in touch and we'll prepare a free quote for your commercial project.

Why choose us

What Wollongong Businesses Get From Our Commercial Crew

Work Scheduled Around Trading

Shutting up shop for weeks isn't an option for most businesses. We divide the site into sections and pour them one after another, keeping a clear route for customers, staff and deliveries while completed areas cure behind barriers.

Slab Depth Matched to Traffic

A forklift turning on the spot or a loaded garbage truck stresses a slab far more than an ordinary car. Thickness, reinforcement and joint layout are designed around the traffic your site really carries, so edges don't crumble and floors stay flat.

Drainage Planned Before Formwork

A big slab collects a lot of water when a summer storm or East Coast Low comes through. Falls, grates and stormwater connections are planned before any formwork goes in, so rain clears quickly instead of pooling at entries or the loading dock.

Early Starts for Large Pours

Large pours depend on trucks, pumps and finishers arriving in the right sequence. We confirm volumes at the quoting stage, lock in supply early and start at first light, ahead of the midday heat, the afternoon sea breeze or a southerly buster, so the pour runs smoothly.

Slip Resistance Where It Counts

Where members of the public walk on your concrete, a non-slip finish is part of your duty of care. We match the texture to how each area is used, wet or dry, and can help you mark out safe pedestrian routes.

Itemised Quotes for Sign-Off

Labour, materials, staging, pump hire and reinstatement are shown as separate items. Owners, managers and body corporates can then check the figures, compare tenders and approve the work without needing to chase us for more detail.

FAQs

Questions About Commercial Concrete

What Wollongong business owners and property managers most often ask us, from staying open during the work and slab thickness to approvals and when trucks can return.

In most cases, no, and that's something we plan for from the first site visit. The usual approach is staging: the site is divided into areas and poured one at a time, so customers keep an entry and some parking while each fresh section hardens. Staging takes longer and costs a little more, since every stage means another set-up and another concrete delivery. Even so, most shops and venues find keeping the doors open is well worth it. We schedule stages for your quieter trading days, and early-morning or Sunday pours are an option if they suit.

More than a home driveway, and it's the traffic that decides it rather than the size of the area. Car traffic sets a baseline. Add delivery trucks, garbage trucks or machinery coming in on a float, and the slab needs extra depth and reinforcement, often with thickened areas at entries and turning bays. Warehouse floors with racking or heavy equipment also have to cope with concentrated point loads. For any decent-sized project we have a structural engineer design the slab to the relevant Australian Standards, and we build exactly to that design.

Frequently, though it depends on the scope. New parking, changes to vehicle access, a crossover or anything on the council verge, as well as work connected to a building, will usually involve your council and possibly a registered building certifier. Replacing an existing surface within the same footprint may need less, although work near the road can still require a permit. No two sites are the same, so talk to your council or a certifier early on. We're glad to work alongside your designer or certifier to have approvals in place well ahead of pour day.

We can, and combining them generally saves time. With our crew and equipment already on site, kerbs, channels, islands and footpaths can be formed, and bays and arrows painted once the concrete has cured enough. That means fewer site visits, a single timeline, and kerbs, bays and paths that line up properly. Where there's a layout plan we follow it, and where there isn't we'll talk through bay widths, accessible parking and how vehicles and pedestrians should move through the site.

Cars can generally use it after about a week, similar to a residential driveway, and the mix is usually designed to hit its full specified strength at twenty-eight days. For slabs taking loaded trucks or heavy machinery, we prefer to wait nearer to that twenty-eight-day mark before applying full loads. Hot, windy summer days in Wollongong dry concrete quickly, so the slab is kept moist and covered during curing to protect its strength. Staging helps here as well, as earlier sections cure while later ones are poured, so the site can reopen bit by bit. Your quote will include realistic dates.
